This HowTo is valid for Linux Mint 17, 18 and Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04 and 16.10 in order to connect to the UMH VPN Network

1) Intall the required packages for Cisco VPN

# apt-get install network-manager-gnome network-manager-pptp network-manager-pptp-gnome network-manager-iodine network-manager-iodine-gnome network-manager-openconnect network-manager-openconnect-gnome network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome network-manager-strongswan network-manager-vpnc network-manager-vpnc-gnome

2) In order to see the new VPN options on Mint network manager menu, it is necessary to restart network-manager daemon:

# restart network-manager

3) Click on Network manager, «VPN conections» –> «Configure VPN» –> «Add…»

4) Select «VPN» –> «Compatible with VPN Cisco AnyConnect (openconnect)»

5) Insert «vpn.umh.es» as the gateway:

6) Voilà! Now, try to connect to VPN:

7) Click on the button on the right and it will ask for user and password. Type it, click on LogIn and you are done
